While most manufacturers take advantage of anniversaries to resurrect iconic models from their history, the Danish firm has decided to be more ambitious, creating two models that are rightfully museum-worthy works of art.
Both models are different expressions of the same concept, which unfortunately (if you could afford them) are limited to just 10 units worldwide. They are based on the Beolab 90 model, released in 2015. A “box” with 18 speakers that literally shape the sound within a listening room. Both editions retain their sound capabilities intact, so the novelty lies solely in the finishes.

The Phantom models look like they came straight out of a science fiction film. The classic fabric grille has been replaced by a metallic one that creates a holographic effect, allowing a clear view of the individual speakers inside. All of this is held in place by a pearlescent aluminum frame.
Furthermore, the Mirage edition seems to change and transform as you move around it. Its surfaces appear to shift from a deep blue to magenta, thanks to a hand-applied, gradient-effect anodized finish, which B&O considers a “visualization of sound itself.” This same finish is applied to the aluminum structure.
