ECO Friendly Furniture

Roox is a company that provides sustainable commercial furniture, and they needed a proposal so that the Mahou brewery could create a series of terraces where each and every one of their elements would contribute in some way to this concept, using highly innovative materials and solutions that would sooner or later begin to be implemented in the urban landscape of the hospitality industry.

These solutions include parasols and awnings that incorporate solar panels, paints and fabrics that filter CO2 to convert it into O2, and sound-absorbing materials that insulate the space, drastically reducing decibels and making the stay more pleasant.

We designed a series of pieces that integrated at least two of these solutions into the same object. This resulted in sail-type awnings—triangular or bird-in-flight shaped, incorporating solar panels and CO2-absorbing fabric—floor plants—with solar panels for their own lighting system, absorbent fabric, and integrated speakers—and parasols—with solar panels and absorbent fabric.
