Converse. Refit ECI Portal del Ángel.

The Portal del Angel shopping centre in Barcelona asked us to create a store that would stand out from the usual fare in these centres, with their very standardised painted wooden furniture. We were given total freedom in terms of design and materials, in keeping with the Converse spirit, so that customers would feel they were dealing with a brand that was different from the rest.

We were excited to experiment with materials never before used in these centres, trying out concrete blocks, LED and neon lighting, and furniture also created using these blocks, bricks and neon and glass structures. Pure brutalism and an aesthetic closer to that of a DJ club.
